Tripp Social Causes

At Tripp, we believe that the problem of poverty reduction and lack of sustainable development in Africa can be better solved when everyone has an opportunity to contribute to the solution.

Tripp is taking the first step by addressing the problems with sustainable mobility (transportation) especially for the environment and vulnerable people in the population.

We encourage you to … be different….be a good neighbour…. Impact a life everyday when you commute to work or drive across town by contributing to making your beautiful city more liveable and helping a vulnerable citizen who is finding it extremely challenging accessing transportation services in Lagos. Subscribe to assist or help in one or more of the social causes below:

ENVIRONMENT: Reduction in car CO2 emissions and traffic congestion

Help make our air in Lagos better by reducing the amount of cars on the roads every day, hence reducing the traffic congestion across Lagos. Subscribe to this social cause by deliberately leaving your car at home and ride with a neighbour to and from work or that social function or that Lagos party.

Statistics, Perspective and Context:

Average trip from point A to point B in Lagos in 2018 is average 3 hours which is an avoidable loss of productive man-hours (which invariably impacts negatively on our national productivity). Also, the approximately 2 Million Vehicles in Lagos will produce an estimated 9.2 Million Metric Tonnes of CO2 annually (assuming each vehicle produces an average of 4.6 Metric Tonnes of CO2). With every good neighbour in Lagos, we hope to reduce the number of private cars on Lagos roads by 200, 000 in 2 years (end of 2021).

PWD: People with disabilities

Help people who are mobility/physically challenged get around our beautiful city of Lagos easily or conveniently in order to lessen the chances of them becoming economically dependent and increasing the possibility of them adding to the overall national productivity hence lessening poverty across board. You can do this by volunteering to go a little out of your way to give them a ride (paid or free, your call).

Statistics, Perspective and Context:

4 in 5 persons living with disability or physically challenged do not have access to public transportation that is adaptive to their condition thereby greatly impending their social mobility and ability to contribute positively to society. Transportation is one of such public infrastructure
